About me

The last 4 years have seen Mia Oatley’s edgy style of work make its mark upon the art world. With an ever expanding collector base, and gallery representation in Sydney, the Gold Coast, and Canberra, collectors have snapped up her work for national and International collections, including Australia, America, France, Holland, and Japan.

Mia’s growing popularity as an artist has seen her work selected for over 30 exhibitions in Australia and Europe. Mia has been a finalist in the Portia Geach, 2004, and the Salon Des Refuses in 2011, and lived and worked in Paris for two and a half years, where she was an active participant in the underground art and commercial gallery scene.

Known for her use of stunning colours and expressive figurative work, Oatley infuses a great sensuality into her work, bringing to life in raw and vivid detail, the beautiful, bold, and strong figures, that feature so predominately in her work.

Mia’s work has featured in many publications, with the major lifestyle magazines such as BELLE, VOGUE LIVING, and REAL LIVING embracing her unique style of work. This has opened the door to many new and exciting opportunities.

With so many collectors enquiring directly, I’m enabling collectors to view paintings, drawings, and limited edition prints in my Sydney studio. Please send me an email if you’d like to make an appointment.
